Snakes or Ladders?

Would you rather be a snake and lurk for your prey?

Could you bear the consequences of killing innocent souls for your own delight?

With your slender body and keen reflexes, another ill-fated creature is surely doomed.

I wonder how you make it so easy. I guess it’s really what you’re good at. If snakes had their own company, you’d be the Chief Executive.

Or would you rather be a ladder and take people to higher grounds?

Could you accept the fact that you are able to bring other people to greater heights?

Does it give you enough pleasure?

Are you satisfied seeing them taking every step with you?

And when they reach the final step, they’re gone!

You are alone again. You may meet many footsteps, but at the end of the day, what you have are footprints only.

If you were given an opportunity, what would you be?

A snake or a ladder?

The wiser and naughtier part of me shouts “Snake!”.

Hmmm… I really don’t know.

I’ve met some snakes and some ladders. I’ve snaked and laddered some people too. Haha.

Snakes and ladders can be good friends. But they can also be worst enemies.

Words of advice: just be careful whom you deal with. It may seem an ordinary ladder on the outside but you never know if a snake is hiding beneath the surface.
