Shock and Awe

That was mental torture.
I was caught off guard.
I swear I could feel tears forming behind my eyes.

Thank you so much.

SHIT HAPPENS FOR A REASON

It's Friday and as usual I'm going home to my lovely province.
I'll be riding the bus with Mike.
As much as possible I want somebody to be with me while taking the bus home.
He wanted to go home as early as possible that day because he'll be reporting for work the next day.
I really don't know why he had to go home pa.

He said he might be able to leave their office at 4:30 pm.
But I can't leave our office until 5 pm.
Shit.

At around 4:30 pm, he said he was still doing something. Great!

But also around that time, I was busy doing something and it's taking me some time to finish it. Before I knew it, it was 5 minutes past 5 pm.
Shit.

Mike calling...

Before answering his call, I have decided that I'll let him go ahead because I don't really want to keep him waiting. But he insisted that he'd wait for me. Partly because I told him earlier that I don't know how to go home on my own. Haha.

So there, I left the office at 5:15 pm. I rode a jeepney to get to the MRT. On the way, there was this LBC guy riding his motorbike. He was persistently trying to overtake the jeepney in front of us. Then poof! He sort of bumped into the jeepney and crashed onto the ground. I really didn't see what happened. All I know that he was hurt badly. Shit.

When I got to the station, I walked as fast as I could, on two-inch high heels. Paid the cashier. Got a ticket. The train was there already. I hurriedly inserted the ticket into its slot and... the train left.
Shit.

Now I am really late.

When I got to Taft, I had some kind of a problem. I don't know which way to go. Left or right? Shit. Hmmm... After thinking about it, which I really wasn't able to do, I went Left. And woohoo, I was right! (Don't get confused, I went left and I was right... nice.)

And there in McDo awaits my wonderful friend.
"Nandin ka pa?", I asked.
Translation: "Kanina ka pa?"
He nodded.
Shit. Now I'm terrified.

The story doesn't end here.

After that, I asked him to wait a little more because I had to order some snacks. And damn, am I the unluckiest person today?! There were five queues and they were all quite long. So I chose the line which was nearest to me. To my surprise, it was the worst queue. It must be the cashier. She was sooo bagal! There were only three persons before me. I was waiting for almost 30 minutes.
Shit.

And finally we're going home. It's 6 pm.

When we got to the terminal, the Genesis bus was empty.
Mike said they will fill the entire bus seats. Shit. I'm doomed.

But luckily, the bus left even if it was just half filled.

Woohoo! We are now on our way home. I hope no more shit happens.

The bus had a TV and "Ballistic" was the featured movie for tonight. I was watching it while eating my hamburger and McFloat but after some time, I got tired and fell asleep. When I woke up, we were still in the busy part of EDSA. Traffic. Heavy traffic.
Shit.

After quite some time, quite a long time, we finally reached NLEX, there was still a bit of heavy traffic. Then poof! We spotted another Genesis bus on the roadside, with a big truck in front of it.

"Ngot, iyan dapat saken tamu nandin." said Mike.
Translation: "Ngot, yan dapat sasakyan natin kanina."

The bus' windshield was shattered. Several passengers were waiting on the roadside waiting for another bus to rescue them. Of course we don't know what happened. But we pretty much have an idea what happened.

"Osimap pala late ka.", said Mike.
Translation: "Buti na lang late ka."

Oh my.
Shit happens for a reason.
There was a reason why I wasn't able to leave the office at exactly 5 pm.
There was a reason why I had to wait for the next train in the MRT.
There was a reason why the cashier was sooo bagal in taking orders.

Well, at the end of that day, I just had to thank God for everything.
