It pays to be honest

Eto basahin mo.

Lying... we all know it's incorrect but we do it. Sometimes we find it difficult to tell the truth, we don't have the guts to do so or we hate the idea of being embarrassed and rejected. We think of lying as an escape from reality. Maybe, at that moment. But think again about the possibilities that could occur because all those fibs you made up will come back and haunt you. One lie (regardless of the color - funny...) could lead to another - you have to cover up for the previous one you made. That is even a tougher job for you to do because you have to remember your fabricated story and all. But all these hard work will mean nothing, be put to waste because sooner or later, whether you like it or not, people will find out. Just imagine what your punishment will be, it couldn't get any better. Besides, it's a little hard to contain. The guilt lingers inside, increasing the stress, making you anxious and worried at all times and leaving you wondering whether people know already of something. And... who do you think you're fooling? The big loser is YOU! Knowing you have done wrong, you won't feel good about it, you may lose respect for yourself especially if you've done it several times. Lying will never make you better even if you tell everyone that you're someone you're really not - it won't change anything, it would make you worse.

It's hard to earn other people's trust when you're not truthful. Your social being suffers - like how could you possibly win friends? Who wants to spend time with a conceited person? You know the answer.

It really pays to be honest. It could be difficult but you've got to try. Others would really appreciate it because they know it's not always easy to tell the truth.

Pieces of Advice

It’s nice to go out sometimes and get some fresh air. Being at home for quite some time now has been such a boring experience for me. I’ve had enough of being just a home buddy. And now, I can feel it, malapit na…

Hehe… Since I have this vow of being nicer na, here are some pieces of advice to my friends.

To A:
Hats off ako sa ‘yo… Ang bait mo naman. Like what I’ve said, huwag mo masyado dibdibin ang mga pangyayari. Keri lang yan! Go go go! Oy, sa birthday mo ha…

To B:
Kumusta ka naman?! Haven’t heard from you since… uhm.. basta, matagal na.. Oh well, I’m glad you’re getting your life back on track na. (Plastic noh?!) Haha… ahm, I just hope you’re happy.

To C1:
Haay… I totally understand what you’re going through. But I won’t give you those I’ve-been-there-and-I-told-you-so statements. Buhay mo yan eh. I’m happy for you. Good luck. May gift ako sa ‘yo – platform balance.

To C2:
Aba, miss na kita… Isa ka ng seryosong tao ngayon ah.. hehe.. Huwag mo naman masyado paka-aral, baka hindi ka na makapag-asawa niyan. Haha!

To C3:
Ang haba ng hair mo hija! Konting ingat lang, baka maapakan ko.. haha!

To D:
Ang bait mo. Salamat sa lahat. At some point, may nakikita akong similarities natin eh, pero dati yun, I’m nice na eh.. hehe..

To KC:
O, magpapayat ka na ha... napag-iiwanan ka na.. Hehe. Gud lak sa yo.

To L:
Oy in fairness, may itsura nga ang bago mong crush! Balita ko nga marami daw may crush sa kanya eh.. Congrats, nag-iimprove na ang tastebuds mo! Haha…

To PPP:
Hello! Long time no see ah.. hehe. Ay kamusta naman ang three times na ma-busted? Ang tindi mo pare.. Oh well, ikaw bahala. Ang drama mo sa blog mo ha. Hehe. In fairness, you’re looking good. Yiheee, muling ibalik…. Haha! I have a gift for you pala – a pair of eyeglasses, just so you can see clearly.
